EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF, ROSEWOOD MANSION ON TURTLE CREEK

As Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek’s Executive Sous Chef, Mervin Friday oversees the daily operations for the hotel and famed Mansion Restaurant, providing strategic direction to the culinary team.

Mervin has been involved with kitchen operations for over 15 years, creating a strong reputation as a skilled menu engineer and leader of experience in the hospitality industry. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of Antigua, Mervin joined Rosewood Hotels and Resorts in 2009 at Rosewood’s former resort, Jumby Bay, he then moved to Dallas working at Rosewood’s former Hotel Crescent Court prior to joining the team at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.

Holding positions as Sous Chef, Private Dining Chef, Banquet Chef and now Executive Sous Chef, Mervin’s love for cooking began over 25 years ago when he would assist at his father’s restaurant and catering business, preparing and executing special events.
